They call me the Working Man

...and I guess that's what I am.
Last time I had a job I did sketches nearly daily. I suspect there won't be as much drawing at the workplace itself, but aside from me gettin' paid and thus being allowed more leisure with how I spend my money...the knock-on effect of me doing more art may be anywhere from vague to great. Not that I posted any of that here, mostly shared with my Discord friends, but...well, actually some of it did end up here, and that only strengthens the point. I only post the *really* good stuff here...and more stuff means more *really good* stuff~

Clowny Collab

I'm thinking I'd like to make a picture of very much circus shenaniganries, and of clowns in particular. You may have noticed I love them so much. Cute clowns in particular, or beautiful ones...not scary ones, they ruin it for all the good ones. Better to show off the best of the essence of silly clowning, yes? We could all use such joy and camaraderie at a time like this.

Like the Lamp Golem group pic, this was spurred on by a pic of a character on Discord. I'd had an idea to draw the character, which is mine but I have no art of on dA, Circa; short for Cirquoiedesse. (WIP by me I never got around to finishing... ...and cleaner interpretation by someone else.)She's a circus goddess, and I wanted her together with another clown, or maybe two...or a few...I couldn't possibly just decide from the clowns I know, of mine and my friends, but then I thought "stands worth of clowns" and thought: why would they only be watching? Let them all in on the act! And for this time, instead of shopping around the one discord server, offer it to the whole of deviantart!

The big idea:
I'd like to draw a whole scene of clowns having fun, performing, making new friends that are clowns and making new clowns from friends (or strangers!), putting on all sorts of not-directly-clowny acts if they're multi-talented, and of course, pranking each other.
As far as my own drawing goes, and submissions for that, I'm willing to accept characters that are clowns or have been portrayed as clowns in even one picture. I'll even take mimes and geisha and such.
Be sure to tell me what you want them doing; and feel free to leave an action spot open so any other given person can say "I'll be a part of that." Like, wanting to pie someone else and then someone else comes along to say they'll be the "victim". Anywhere from solo balancing and juggling, to a duo trapeze, to a bundle all jammed into a clown car...
For those without a clown, but want to be shown as a clown here for this, I'm more than happy to make something up for ya; not too many though or I could get only "more than happy". I do love clowns doing makeup or painting up other clowns, though, and magic sure is one way to clownify someone...offers to do the makeup or be clowned up are much appreciated.
Limitations:
I don't plan on digitizing such a big and potentially detailed picture; and while I'd be more than happy to accept artbits done by you to be placed into the group picture...that is not my experience. It would be amazing if someone offered to edit such in, though, and no less amazing to see art offered that I wouldn't need to draw.
I also don't have any major plans on accepting too many clowns from one person; gimme all the art you can for a given clown for reference, but unless I know you or have a number of really good-looking (or easy to draw!) clowns don't expect to get anywhere close to a hostile takeover of the circus grounds.
Be aware that this is for fun and not for profit. The down payment is inspiration; the rest is gratitude. And if you plan on helping in some way, please don't expect or ask for money.
And finally, I'll accept clowns or clownlike figures, but I only mean to draw original characters, not licensed.
Other than that...these rules aren't really hard or fast, and the picture and submissions don't have any deadline planned; just that it will be done when it's done. With all that said...show me some good clowns to brighten everyone's days with!

Dreams and disasters

I had a pretty weird dream last night that started in some sort of palace that slowly turned the place into a warzone... we were prepping for an oncoming invasion with some realer and some more fantastical strategies...and then a bomb came into few.
A little later I was in a shelter alone and saw a stereotypical nuke ‘shroom out the window...didn’t annihilate though. Got a pan-out view, like with a news flying camera, of the literal oil river in a few-meters trench next to the shelter-house lighting on fire...and then I woke up.
I don’t often have nightmares but the end bit of that dream unsettled me and I moved my wake-up alarm back an hour.
